The RetroBattlestations community is about using, repairing, replicating, emulating, and reminiscing about retro & vintage battlestations. Posts should be about using retro equipment or news about retro stuff, whether it’s personal projects, new products, old articles, or reusing old hardware in new ways.
Feel free to show off your machines, but please keep your posts about actual battlestations. No pictures of old software, documentation, accessories, unless a complete battlestation is included. 'Wanted' posts and free items for pickup are ok (as text/self posts, include your location & Wanted or Free in title), but 'for sale' posts, ebay links, or 'what's this stuff worth' posts are not. No you didn't just find a pot of gold or win the lottery, and if you did,.
Looking for more Retro Computing subreddits? Not enough Retro Gaming action here? Looking for help? When you're asking a question or starting a discussion you need to make a 'self' or text post. Now the flash module seems to be connected trough a 44-pin IDE connection. Because it is facing upwards you can't just plug in an old IDE drive and close the lid. Also I don't know if it supplies enough power for a 'spinning disk'.
// Edit: (it probably will) The are also 44 pin IDE flash cards (few GB's for a few dollars) available or 44 pin IDE to Compact Flash or SD card converters available. Now I'm going to stop or I'll have to buy one myself.
